Becoming dry, fine and very warm
High pressure builds in from this weekend, bringing mostly dry weather and a southerly wind flow raising the temperatures widedly across the country throughout the week. Possible showers expected for some later in the week.

Sunday 3/9/23 Another mostly dry and fine day on Sunday thanks to high pressure being dominant with warm, sunny spells developing for most through the day. Cloudier skies and outbreaks of rain affecting northwest Scotland and the Northern Isles. Highs rising to 19 to 27C.
Monday 4/9/23 High pressure sits over England on Monday giving another dry and fine day here, once any mist and fog patches lift first thing. Cloudier across northern and cnetral areas of Scotland with some patchy rain. Highs at 16 to 25C for most, up to 29C in the far SE England.
Tuesday 5/9/23 High pressure is dominant on Tuesday keeping the country dry and fine again, though a south-easterly wind looks to strengthen through the day across southwestern areas. Highs at a warm 18 to 28C.
Wednesday 6/9/23 High pressure sits to the east of the UK while lower pressure is out in the Atlantic on Wednesday A warm southerly wind blows through. The risk of some showers across more western areas but most should stay dry with sunny spells. Highs at 119 up into the high 20s across southern and eastern areas.
Thursday 7/9/23 Most across the country again are expected to stay dry, fine and warm through Thursday, though more cloud and possible showers will push could develop over far western areas. Highs well into the 20s for many still.
Friday 8/9/23 There is the risk by Friday that the higher pressure may just break down slightly with more places seeing a higher risk of showers, though most in the east should stay largely dry, fine and warm. Highs at 18 to 27 or 28C.
