Thursday 25/08/16 A warm and thundery pattern exists across the British Isles. Areas of thunderstorms are likely to track north-eastwards across the country, although precise local detail is very uncertain. Light winds for most places. Temperatures climbing to 27 to 30C or higher in central & south-east England. Cooler where rain develops, and generally fresher in the north & west of Britain & Ireland at 20 to 22C.
Friday 26/08/16 The remains of thundery rain is likely to clear away north-eastwards, allowing pressure to build from the south-west. Cloud breaking to give some sunshine. Dry with light winds for many. A westerly breeze for Scotland brings showers to the far north-west. Fresh in the north & west, 18 to 22C. May remain humid in the south, but cooler than previous days, 24C central areas. Locally still reaching 27 to 29C in far south-east.
Saturday 27/08/16 Detail very uncertain. Low pressure developing over Biscay may bring further rain to southern Britain, possibly remaining humid and thundery. High pressure may influence northern areas, bringing brighter and fresher conditions. Highs 18 to 21C north, or 23 to 27C south.
Sunday 28/08/16 Detail uncertain. High pressure toward the north-west and shallow low pressure toward the south, whilst another low may develop west of Biscay. Risk of rain spreading north across Britain, but the far north may escape dry, and southern areas may improve. Highs 17 to 24C.
Monday 29/08/16 Low confidence. Expect some showers, and fairly cloudy skies, but some sunshine may break through. Cool in north, warm south, highs 17 to 24C.
Tuesday 30/08/16 Low confidence. Expect mixed conditions. Some showery rain, but many areas may see plenty of dry and bright weather. Highs 16 to 23C.
