Rain, showers and wind as well as feeling cool

The unsettled weather is going to continue through this week. Periods of rain through today with heavy showers and cool, strong winds to follow. Further spells of rain into the weekend and next week.

Friday 5/6/26
A ridge of high pressure building through Friday. Broken cloud and sunny spells on Friday. There will be a few showers in western and southern areas of the British Isles, but dry for most. A few showers in Ireland and western Scotland, especially in the morning but these fading. Increased cloud and periods of rain in the south of Ireland. Highs at 13C in northern Scotland, 18C in southeast England.

Saturday 6/6/26
Dry in eastern areas on Saturday with increasing cloud after morning spells of sunshine. Rain in Ireland, western Scotland, western Wales and western England. Most rain for northwest England and Scotland. Rain turning more patchy in Wales and southwest England in the afternoon. Becoming brighter in Ireland, a few showers in the west. Highs at 14 to 18C.
 

Sunday 7/6/26
A broad south-westerly flow, affects the British Isles through Sunday. France will be bringing cloud and rain to Scotland, Ireland, much of Northwest England and West wales. Low cloud may affect southern coast of England. Tending to be dry and brighter in central and eastern England, although a few spots of rain are possible in the Midlands too. Highs at 12C in northwest England, 19C in the Midlands and southeast England.

Damp and cloudy on Monday in England and Wales, the rain tending to turn more patchy. Brighter in Scotland and Ireland, heavy showers in northern and western Scotland. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 17C in Ireland, 20C in central and eastern areas of England.


 

Tuesday 9/6/26
A weak ridge of high pressure building giving a drier day in England and Wales. heavy showers in Scotland. Rain arriving later in western Ireland. Highs at 12 to 21C.

Wednesday 10/6/26
An unsettled day with periods of rain, some heavy at times. Perhaps more showery in Scotland. Highs at 12 to 15C.
