Sunday 06/12/15 A weakening cold front passes south-east across Britain, bringing a few bursts of showery rain to central & southern areas, before brighter skies spread from the west. Showery conditions follow into western England & Wales. Winds will ease for southern Britain, but the breeze stays strong in the north. Frequent showers in the north & west of Scotland, wintry over the Highlands. Highs 12 or 13C in the south, but turning cooler from the north-west, around 6C in Scotland.
Monday 07/12/15 Low confidence of detail into the new week, but it remains changeable. An area of low pressure is expected to move north-east across Britain, taking another pulse of wet and windy weather across the country. This may affect mainly just the west and north-west. Risk of snow on the leading edge across Highland Scotland. Mild and windy in the south. Temperatures between 6 and 12C.
Tuesday 08/12/15 A cold front spreads from the west, taking bursts of heavy rain south-eastwards early in the day. Fresher air follows from the west, with sunny spells for a time. Showers will then spread from the west, these most frequent across Scotland & Ireland, perhaps later Wales. Some sleet or wet snow over mountain tops. Up to 12C for a time in the south-east, but dropping to between 5 and 8C for most.
Wednesday 09/12/15 Fairly cool for many, although southern regions may see a dry, bright day as a brief ridge of high pressure builds across England. Showery in the far north of Britain, these wintry over Scotland. Milder air should return from the west later. Daytime temperatures around 5 to 8C.
Thursday 10/12/15 A cool start is possible in the east, before freshening south-westerly winds bring spells of rain in from the Atlantic, and temperatures slowly rise from the south-west. Highs 8 to 12C.
Friday 11/12/15 Changeable conditions are expected to continue through Friday and into the weekend. Starting mild, but temperatures may drop as winds become north-westerly. Highs 6 to 10C.
