Saturday 21/7/18
Any remnants of thicker overnight cloud and patchy rain or drizzle in the south, associated with the weakening front, will soon give way to dry weather with sunshine breaking through. Mostly dry in the north, with only isolated light showers but skies will tend to be cloudier, especially across Northern Ireland and Western Scotland. Highs at 25C in Southeast England, 15C in Northern Scotland.

Sunday 22/7/18
A ridge of high pressure is expected to affect much of the UK and Ireland on Sunday but low pressure near to Iceland will drive a front towards the North and Northwest of Scotland. Much of England and Wales will be dry with spells of fairly warm sunshine. Cloudier in the northwest, through into Northern Ireland and Scotland with some rain, chiefly in the north and west. Highs at 26C in Southern Enland, 16C in Northern Scotland.

Monday 23/7/18
High pressure persists in the south on Monday with dry weather, variable cloud cover and spells of sunshine for England and Wales. Thicker cloud will affect Northwest Scotland and Northern Ireland, though, with some rain, which may become heavy at times over western hills. Highs at 17 to 28C.

Tuesday 24/7/18
Possible that an isolated shower may develop but dry for most of England and Wales with sunny spells; becoming hot in the south and east. Cloudier across Scotland and Northern Ireland where a slow-moving, weakening front will give rain at times. Highs at 16 to 30C.

Wednesday 25/7/18
A bright day with some spells of sunshine but, while most places will stay dry, localized heavy showers may develop. Hot again in the south and east of England. Highs at 20 to 31C.

Thursday 26/7/18
Little change across much of the UK, with spells of very warm or hot sunshine and dry for most parts. The risk that isolated but heavy showers may develop remains, however. Highs at 22 to 31C
