Wet & cool north and west, sunnier and warmer for east and southeast. Next week cooler with strong winds.

With one front after another mostly wet and cool for Ireland and Scotland. In England mostly dry for southeast, from Midlands northwards frequent rain particularly in the west. Cooling next week with some windy days ahead.

Wet and cloudy for western parts of Ireland and Scotland. In England & Wales only an odd brief shower possible for westernmost counties, but generally staying dry with sunny spells. Toward the east hardly any clouds. Windy through Ireland and Scotland. Warmest in the southeast, exceeding 24C here. Through Ireland around 20C, 17C in N England and Scotland.


 

Monday 12/8/24
Cloudy with locally heavy rain from Birmingham northwards, through Scotland to the far north. In Ireland rain only in the morning, later becoming dry and sunnier. Midlands to Hampshire partly sunny and dry. Highs 18C Scotland, 20C Ireland, Wales and western England to 31C southeast.

Tuesday 13/8/24
With a low pressure system in the north frequent rain through Ireland and western half of Britain, locally showers toward the east, in the southeast and East Anglia most likely dry. Mostly overcast, bursts of sun toward the south. Strong southerly winds. 15 to 24C, warmest East Anglia.

Wednesday 14/8/24
Another wet day for most, particularly Ireland and Scotland, here rain heavy. Rain reaching as far south as Midlands. Once again very strong winds, reaching gale force around Ireland. In the south together with the showers also some bright spells possible. Highs from northwest to southeast 17 to 23C.


 

Thursday 15/8/24
Wet in Ireland and Scotland, most likely dry for Wales & England. Sunny spells toward the south and southeast, cloudy elsewhere. Strong southwesterly winds, possibly reaching gale-force in England. Distinct cooling, highs 14 to 21C.

Cloudy everywhere with rain, heaviest north and west, but possible any time of the day also in the south and east. Southwesterly winds only slightly easing. Highs 16 to 23C.
