Unsettled with rain and showers, some drier days
An unsettled week ahead with low pressure areas bringing wind and rain.The rain could be heavy with winds to gale force. A few drier days here and there and milder on some days too.

Tuesday 26/9/23 A southwesterly flow through Tuesday. Cloud and some outbreaks of showery rain in Ireland, Scotland and the west of England and Wales. Brighter in the east but cloud increasing here through the morning. many areas then seeing a cloudy afternoon with outbreaks of rain. Most rain in Scotland and Ireland where some could be heavy. Highs at 22C in the southeast, a chillier 15C in Wales and 14C in Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Wednesday 27/9/23 Low pressure swinging east through the British Isles on Wednesday. This brings heavy rain and gales to Ireland in the morning, then across much of England and Wales in the afternoon. Flooding is possible. Southern and eastern Scotland seeing rain too, although drier western Scotland and becoming brighter and drier in Ireland later. Highs near 14 to 17C.
Thursday 28/9/23 Low pressure remains on Thursday. Outbreaks of rain in Ireland, Wales and southern England. Drier in northern and eastern areas with the best of any sunshine in northern Scotland. Highs at 14 to 18C after a cold start to the day.
Friday 29/9/23 A better day as a ridge of high pressure builds over the British Isles. There may be a few showers in the northwest but dry for other areas with sunny spells. Highs at 15 to 17C.
Saturday 30/9/23 Low pressure east of Scotland, high pressure to the southwest of England. Dry and bright in southern areas with sunny spells. Showers for northern England, north Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. The showers heavy at times. Highs at 14 to 17C.
Sunday 1/10/23 An unsettled day again with rain for many. It will be windy to with most rain in Scotland and less rain in southern England. Heavy showers for western Scotland and Ireland. Highs at 12 to 17C.
