Risk of overnight frosts this weekend, changeable overall

Changeable conditions over the coming days and staying cool. Watch for the risk of frost over the weekend. Wet and cool through Friday but Saturday and Sunday do look brighter. Monday brings rain and wind in the east but better for all on Tuesday. patchy rain mid week but perhaps better later.

Sunday 29/4/18
Low pressure passing south of the UK on Sunday brings the risk of some rain in the southeast on Sunday afternoon. Broken cloud and sunny spells for most, although eastern areas always prone to cloud being blown onshore by the fresh east to northeast wind. A few showers could develop over the Pennines, central wales and southwest England later i the day, but for most it should be dry. Scotland and Ireland will have broken cloud and some bright spells, although isolated showers here and there. A cool day with tops of just 9C in southeast England, 14C in rIeland and western Scotland.


Monday 30/4/18
Low pressure in the North Sea on Monday gives a cold day with strong winds over eastern England. Wet too in East Anglia and the southeast. Drier further west and north with some good spells of sunshine in Ireland, Scotland,w est Wales and southwest England together with lighter winds. A scattered of heavy showers may affect Ireland. Highs at just 7C in the southeast, 12C on the west.


Tuesday 1/5/18
A weak ridge of high pressure builds through Tuesday as low pressure clears to the east. The ridge brings drier weather with some sunny spells. However, thicker cloud and rain will be arriving in western Ireland and western Scotland as a front approaches. Highs at a milder 12 to 15C.
 



A front becomes slow moving in northern and western areas of the Uk through Wednesday. This brings cloud and soe outbreaks of rain. More eastern and southern areas should be drier and brighter. Drier weather may arrive in Ireland and western Scotland too. Highs at 10C in the rain but 12 to 14C elsewhere.


Thursday 3/5/18
Pressure may build on Thursday allowing for a brighter day for many. A weak front may be stuck of southern England giving some cloud here. Highs at 13 to 17C.

Friday 4/5/18
Low pressure to the northwest on Friday but pressure higher to the southeast. Showers are likely, these more frequent and heaviest in the north and west. Few showers to the east and south. Highs at 12 to 17C.
