Mixed conditions with spells of sunshine but also rain and showers

A relief from the rain come Friday for many, though the country is still within an unsettled weather pattern so by the weekend rain returns. Into next week western areas will see most of the rain as we continue to be within a westerly flow pattern.

Sunday 7/6/2026
Sunday will see many northern and western areas of the UK be affected by showers as well as longer outbreaks of rain, while central and eastern areas should remain mostly dry with sunny spells and feeling pleasnantly warm. Northern Scotland will see rain ease and become brighter with sunshine. Rain largely clearing southern Irish counties though staying wet further north and into Northern Ireland. Highs at 17 to 22C.

Monday 8/6/2026
A frontal band of rain will track west to east across the UK on Monday, clearing from the west allowing for drier and brighter weather to soon develop here. Some sunny spells but also showers increasingly forming over Ireland and later across Scotland too. Highs at 16 to 20C though feeling fresher in the west.


 

Tuesday 9/6/2026
A weak ridge of high pressure on Tuesday allows for a drier day in England and Wales with sunny spells, some light spotty rain near south and west coasts. Most will see afternoon showers, heaviest and most widespread in Scotland. Heavier rain will affect western Ireland by evening. Highs at 16 to 21C.


 

Wednesday 10/6/26
An unsettled start to Wednesday with periods of rain, some heavy at times, particularly west Scotland. The rain will tend to isolate to northern and western areas, bright spells breaking out in England. It will be blustery for many. Highs at 15 to 22C.


 

Thursday 11/6/26
A brief ridge is expected to bring largely dry weather for a time on Thursday, though its looking more likely that rain will move in from the west and affect western and central areas later. Highs at 15 to 21C.

Friday 12/6/26
Rain and showers affecting northern areas of the UK at the end of the week while southern and southeastern areas staying largely dry seeing the best of the sunshine and warmer conditions. Highs at 15 to 22C.
