Low pressure moving in from the Atlantic brings a risk of showery rain over this weekend, perhaps turning wet and windy for a time, but detail uncertain. Next week looks like high pressure will rebuild, bringing fair weather to many places.

Friday 02/09/16 Fronts spreading from the west bring showery outbreaks of rain to northern & western Britain. Risk of persistent rain for a time, particularly over the hills. Fairly cloudy overall, but the south-east may escape dry and bright most of the day. Rain should clear from Ireland, but scattered showers may follow. Breezy, strongest north & west. Highs 15 to 18C north-west, 19 to 22C central areas, up to 24C in the south-east, feeling humid.
Saturday 03/09/16 Low confidence of detail and timing. A trough of low pressure is expected to pass across the British Isles, bringing showery rain, possibly merging into several hours of rain spreading from the west, some heavy bursts. Breezy, strongest in west & south-west. Some sunshine, and in eastern areas many hours may stay dry. Temperatures between 16 and 23C, warmest south-east.
Sunday 04/09/16 Detail remains uncertain. Low pressure drifts east across Britain toward the North Sea. Areas of showers, perhaps most widespread in central and eastern regions. Some heavy, perhaps thundery bursts. Risk of frequent rain for some places. Conditions may improve from the west as pressure builds. Breezy. Highs 16 to 22C.
Monday 05/09/16 Pressure may rebuild from the south-west resulting dry and bright weather for many. Fronts toward the far north & west may produce some rain. Highs 16 to 23C.
Tuesday 06/09/16 Most likely dry for many, particularly in the south. Risk of showery rain in the far north & west. Small risk more widely showery. Warm in south, highs 18 to 25C.
Wednesday 07/09/16 Indications favours high pressure and fair weather for much of the country, although a chance of mixed, showery conditions in the north. Highs 17 to 25C.
