High pressure to the east brings a fair day to much of England, with hazy sunshine best in south-eastern areas. Fronts across the north-west brings rain Ireland, Scotland and also west Wales & north-west England. Some persistent heavy falls possible over the hills. Light winds in the south & east, but breezy in the north & west. Feeling humid, 16 to 19C north & west, 22 to 25C south & east.
Detail uncertain as fronts trail north-eastwards across the country. There is a risk of thundery rain spreading across southern England, although a chance that the worst of this stays over the near-continent. Rain or showers in northern areas, whilst an improvement should develop from the west as pressure builds. Light winds and quite humid. Highs 17 to 24C.
A dry and bright day overall as a ridge of high pressure extends across Britain. Good spells of sunshine and light winds for central & eastern areas. Meanwhile, fronts moving in from the Atlantic bring a risk of rain developing for Ireland, and later thickening cloud and patchy rain may reach western Britain. South-westerly winds freshening. Top temperatures 18 to 24C.
Fronts are likely to advance eastwards bringing cloudy skies and outbreaks of rain, locally persistent, particularly in western areas. East & north-eastern areas may see very little rain. A fresh south to south-westerly breeze. Highs 16 to 23C.
West or south-westerly winds are likely to maintain a changeable spell of weather. Outbreaks of rain most frequent toward the west & north, but brighter in the south & east. Highs 16 to 22C.
Staying mixed, with some rain at times, but also brighter spells. Blustery westerly winds. Quite cool in the north. Highs 15 to 21C.
