A mixed week with rain and showers at times, temperatures varying day to day
Mixed conditions prevail through the week ahead. The weekend is expected to be unsettled with periods of rain and strong winds at times. Next week may see drier conditions in the far south and east, although rain continues to affect western and northern Scotland and western Ireland. Temperatures remain close to average or mild for the time of year.

Cloud and outbreaks of rain through Saturday over most of England and Wales as well as Ireland. Western Scotland is going to be cloudy with rain and drizzle, this affecting western Wales and western coasts and hills of England too. Drier in northeast England, damper later. Mild in the south and west, cooler north and east. Highs at 11 to 15C.
Morning rain in the southeast at first, clearing quickly. Brighter and cooler weather follows from the west bringing some sunny spells. Showers affecting western coasts and hills, these heavy and merging into longer spells of rain in western and Scotland where there could be severe gales too. The gales affecting northern England and Northern Ireland. Highs at 8 to 11C.
A ridge of high pressure building over the UK on Monday. This brings rather cloudy conditions and it is likely to be misty and murky in many areas too. Drizzle in western and southern Ireland as well as western Scotland. and across southwestern and southern coasts of England as west Wales. Highs at 9 to 11C.
A ridge of high pressure remains in England and Wales. Plenty of cloud, but this breaks to leave some bright or sunny spells. Cloud and rain in Ireland and western Scotland, this drifting into northwest England and Wales. The rain could be heavy in the west. Highs at 9 to 14C.
Outbreaks of showery rain passing eastwards. Brighter weather and sunny spells developing in the north and west. Highs at 9 to 13C.
Are generally dry day across much of England and Wales with some sunshine. There will be more clients in northern and western Scotland as well as western Ireland where it may be breezy and a risk of some rain here. Highs at 10 to 13C.
