Cloud breaking to give a dry afternoon, warm to hot with prolonged sunshine Cheshire, Dyfed to Glamorgan, Shropshire to Hampshire 25C for most topping 30C Berkshire to Sussex. Sunshine into the evening.
Monday 12/08/2024 Cloudy with period of prolonged and heavy rain to start for Shetland, through Perth and Kinloss, Cumbria to Dyfed and across to Lincolnshire, rain persisting during the morning, slow to clear Borders to Yorkshire into the afternoon. Elsewhre generally cloudy mainly dry though with some sunshine, becoming hot Lincolnshire to Hampshire with increasing thunderstorms likely into the evening, topping 30C during the afternoon 26C into the eveing
Tuesday 13/08/2024 Generally cloudy for most western coastal fringes Derry, Highland, Cumbria, Dyfed to Cornwall with outbreaks of rain during the morning with a fresh SW wind 15C generally. Continuing rather clody though with sunshine, scattered showers during the afternoon Oxfordshire to Staffordshire, 18C generally, though remaining hot and humid for Linclonshire to Sussex temperatures topping 26C
Wednesday 14/08/2024 Sunshine and showers continuing Derry to Highland 18C. Dry and sunny with variable cloud Moray to Borders, Yorkshire to Nottinghamshire, through to Dyfed and Glamorgan south to Cornwall 20 to 22C during the afternoon. Cloud slow to clear across Cambridgeshire to Berkshire to Hampshire with outbreaks of heavy, likely thundery rain during the morning into the afternoon though clearing by evening 22C

England and Wales cloudy throughout with rain prolonged and heavy through the morning Yorkshire, midlands to Glamorgan, rain moving slowly southeastwards with heavy outbreak continuing for midlands southwards, cooler than recently 17C
