A cold weekend then milder and unsettled from mid next week

Cold weather remains for the coming few days. There will be a fair amount of cloud, most in the east where there will be periods of rain too. Indications are that the weather turns more unsettled yet milder into the middle stages of next week. Rain then affects all areas with the weather staying mixed to end the week.

Monday 26/11/18
High pressure remains north of Scotland on Monday with low pressure south of the UK. The result is an east to northeast flow affecting all areas. Rather cloudy for most places with outbreaks of rain, most in central and eastern areas. Scotland is likely to be drier with some bright spells although drizzle on eastern coasts and hills. Feeling cold at 6 to 8C.

Tuesday 27/11/18
Low pressure west of Ireland on Tuesday with higher pressure to the east. Strong winds and rain arriving in Ireland during the later part of the day. The UK is likely to be dry but increasingly breezy. Some sunny spells to the east. Highs at 6 to 8C.


 
 
 

Wednesday 28/11/18
Fronts pass east through Wednesday bringing rain. The rain followed from the west by showers, some heavy and rather windy as well. Highs at a milder 8 to 12C.

 
 
 

Thursday 29/11/18
Low pressure stays close by to the west on Thursday. Staying mixed or unsettled with periods of rain and showers. Staying breezy throughout. Highs at 9 to 14C.

Friday 30/11/18
Pressure may be low overall on Friday. This brings showers, some heavy. Conditions may improve for a time as a ridge of high pressure builds. Turning cooler in Scotland, Ireland and northern England. Highs at 6 to 12C.

Saturday 1/12/18
A ridge of higher pressure may build on Saturday. This leads to an early frost but then a dry and bright day for most areas. Early mist and fog patches clearing quickly. Cloud increasing in Ireland bringing some rain. Tops near 6 to 11C.
