Staying wet and windy but mild. Perhaps turning more settled towards the end of the week.
Continuing with the unsettled weather through much of this week. Wind and rain expected to affect many with the north and west seeing the strongest gusts and highest accumulations. However, it will be reasonably mild with the south and southeast of England seeing considerably milder temperatures. There are signs of high pressure building at the end of the week and into the weekend.

Low pressure west of Scotland on Wednesday. Breezy with cloud and periods of rain across parts of Ireland, Wales, southwest England, northwest England and southern Scotland. Tending to be drier through the Midlands and eastern England although low cloud and drizzle affecting southern coasts. Brighter in northern Scotland though there will be frequent showers for western coasts and hills. Highs at 8 to 15C.
A brighter day on the whole on Thursday with some reasonable spells of sunshine for many areas although the far north will be windier with frequent showers for northwestern parts of Scotland and Ireland. Some low cloud and drizzle may also affect western coasts and hills further south. Best of the sunshine in the east. Highs around 7 to 13C.
High pressure builds briefly over the UK and Ireland on Friday. This should bring a mostly fair day with good sunny spells. The risk of some low cloud and patchy rain in the far northwest of Scotland. Cloud thickens from the west through the day and rain arrives over western Ireland later. Highs at 8 to 12C.
Early patchy rain over Ireland and the northwest of the UK tends to fade to leave a largely dry and fine day across the British Isles. Some cloud towards the far northwest and west with the risk of some drizzle here too at times. High temperatures at 7 to 14C.
High pressure to the southeast brings a largely dry and fine day here while lower pressure to the northwest brings a windy and rather cloudy day here with patchy outbreaks of rain for northern and western parts of Ireland and Scotland. Highs at 8 to 14C.
High pressure stays in control bringing a mostly fine and dry day to the UK and Ireland after early mist and fog clears. Fronts bring more in the way of cloud and patchy rain into northwestern parts of Ireland and across northern Scotland. Highs of 7 to 12C.
