Uncertainties by end of week, may break to thunderstorms again
High pressure centred north of Britain will produce an easterly pattern this week, which will bring fresher air for a few days, reducing the risk of downpours compared to recently. Warmest and sunniest in the west. Pressure becomes slack later in the week, and increasing humidity may see things become thundery again.

High pressure will be centred to the north. An easterly breeze, fresh along southern coasts. Largely dry with plenty of sunshine, best in the west, whilst some eastern coasts may hold onto banks of low cloud. Small chance of a local shower in the west. Feeling cool on North Sea coasts, only 13C, whilst central areas will reach 18 to 20C, and sheltered western spots will be nearer 23C.
High pressure begins to drift a little further eastwards, but maintains a prevailing easterly flow. The strongest breeze across southern coastal districts. Some murk on eastern coasts, otherwise lots of strong sunshine. Dry overall. Small chance of an isolated shower. A familiar east to west contrast in temperature, from 13C on eastern coasts, up to 23C to the lee of high ground in the west.
Pressure becomes slack. Dry overall, although a possibility of showers or perhaps a thunderstorm popping up locally, but very should be very isolated. Sunny skies for most places. Light winds and coastal sea breezes. Highs 19 to 24C for many, locally warmer south-east, but much cooler on eastern coasts.
A slack pressure pattern with little wind. Humidity may increase again, which may allow local showers or thunderstorms to break out, but again these will be very hit and miss. Hazy sunshine. Some coastal fog. Warmer, reaching 22 to 28C, but cooler on coasts.
Confidence is low. Many places may escape dry, but a risk of thundery bursts across southern districts. Warm and humid. Sea breezes. Highs 18 to 25C.
A possibility of thundery rain for some, most likely central and southern regions, but confidence is low. Northern areas may escape dry. Highs 17 to 25C.
