Largely dry although cloudier towards the north and west with patchy rain at times
High pressure to the south and southeast keeps weather dry and fine here through much of the week, but lower pressure to the northwest of Scotland will drag across cloud and patchy rain further north and west. Pressure building at the weekend. Turning mixed next week.

Higher pressure to the south with low pressure remaining northwest of Scotland. The southwest wind brings further broken cloud to western coasts and hills, the risk of some mist at times along southern coasts. Drizzle in western parts of Ireland and western Scotland, although dry in the east. Sunshine breaks through in much of England and Wales and becomes very warm. Western coasts always at risk of some low cloud and mist. Highs at 21 to 25C, 17C in northwest Scotland and cloudier western coasts.
Higher pressue builds in across the UK and Ireland on Friday. In the morning, however, expect cloudier skies with some patchy rain to the north and west of Scotland as well as through southern parts of England for a time. A drier afternoon for most with lengthy spells of sunshine for many. Highs at 14 to 17C in northwest Scotland and Ireland although 20C in eastern Scotland, 22 to 27C over much of England and Wales, although 17C in the cloudier areas.
High pressure strengthens through Saturday. It should be a dry day with sunny spells for most. Some low cloud and drizzle may trouble the far northwest of Scotland as well as the far southeast of England. Highs at 17 to 25C.
Pressure remains high through Sunday across the British Isles giving most places a dry and sunny day, although northern and western Scotland as well as parts of Northern Ireland and northwest Ireland will see cloudier skies as well as patchy rain. Highs at 19 to 27C.
A front pushes across northern areas of the country as well as across Ireland on Monday. This will bring cloudier skies to Scotland, Northern Ireland, much of Ireland as well as Wales and northern England with patchy rain. Drier and warmer further south and southeast. Highs at 15 to 20C across the north and west, between 24 and 29C across central and southern England.
Indications are that northern and western areas of the UK and Ireland once again will see cloud and outbreaks of rain, while further south and southeast will stay dry, sunny and very warm. Highs in the north and west at 14 to 19C and up to 28C further southeast.
