High pressure strengthens through Saturday. It should be a dry day with sunny spells for most. Some low cloud and drizzle may trouble the far north of Scotland later in the day. A warm day for many with highs between 18 and 28C. Cooler across the northwest of Scotland.
Pressure remains high through Sunday across the British Isles, giving most places a dry and sunny day, although models now suggest that a weakened front could pass southwards bringing about more cloud and the risk of some patchy light rain for a short time across northern areas. Another very warm day for many with highs between 23 and 30C.
The weakened front will continue to push southwards and bring cloudier skies across parts of England, Wales and Ireland for a time. It should stay mostly dry, just the small risk of some patchy light rain. Across Scotland and Northern Ireland there will be good sunny spells but also the risk of showers, these mainly in the north and west of Scotland. Highs at 14 to 19C for most but continue to feel warm and muggy across the far south and southeast of England with highs here between 22 and 29C.
Tuesday looks to start largely dry with sunny spells, particularly further east, but cloud cover will soon thicken in the west with outbreaks of rain pushing in across Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scotland as well as northern England through the day. Currently looking to remain dry further south. Highs generally cooler across the country at 14 to 22C.
Wednesday sees the British Isles within a trough, as an area of low pressure pushes across Scotland. It will be a mixed day with rather a lot of cloud about, strengthened winds and outbreaks of rain affecting most northern and central areas. The far south could remain dry. Highs between 16 and 23C for southern and eastern areas, cooler further north and west.
The UK and Ireland is still influenced by low pressure on Thursday. Another mixed day with some sunny spells but also rather a lot of cloud about too for many. The best of any sunshine further south across England where it also looks to remain dry, meanwhile outbreaks of showery rain still affecting many northern areas. Highs at 15 to 23C.
