High pressure located to the northwest maintains a general northeasterly breeze, strongest in the south. A weak front draped across the country brings more cloud and some patchy outbreaks of rain to northern and southwestern parts of England, Wales, southern Scotland, Northern Ireland and eastern Ireland. Accumulations will be small however. Temperatures at just 12 or 13C in northeast Scotland, more widely at 16 to 22C.
A general northerly airflow is expected later in the week, with cooler conditions extending south across the British Isles. A few showers are possible, but remaining fairly hit and miss, with western areas more likely staying dry. Northern parts of Scotland could see a more prolonged and heavier spell of rain develop later. A fresher wind and lower temperatures with highs of 14 to 20C.
Cool northerly winds continue with showery rain spreading across Scotland, and scattered showers possible elsewhere, especially to the east. Sunshine and broken cloud across the country. High temperatures range from 13 to 19C.
Cool conditions are expected to prevail into the weekend with sunshine and a few showers. Showers most likely for eastern parts of England where a strengthening wind will also affect coastal areas. Fronts from the Atlantic could bring rain into northwestern Scotland later. Highs at 11 to 19C.
Staying cool into Sunday with a prevailing northwest to northerly flow. A rather mixed day with variable amounts of cloud, some bright spells and patchy outbreaks of rain. Highs range from 12 to 18C.
