Increasingly unsettled through next week after some initial drier weather and many areas turning cooler than of late too.

The risk of showers is forecast to continue, again especially across England and Wales. However, there is some forecast evidence to suggest that more of an Atlantic influence to the weather may well begin to develop and this could lead to a greater risk of rain or showers arriving from the west in association with low pressure systems moving into the UK off the N Atlantic to bring about, potentially, a more protracted period of unsettled weather. Near average temperatures but turning cooler. Highs, 13C to 20C.
Unsettled weather seems likely by Wednesday as low pressure and associated weather fronts move across the UK off the N Atlantic bringing a risk of rain or showers, at times to most areas, perhaps with some heavy rain or showers too, most probably in the north and west, while still perhaps drier and brighter at times in the south and south-east. Temperatures will continue to cool, especially compared with of late and in any wet weather. Highs 13C to 18C.
Uncertainties over the details by next Thursday but there is good weather model agreement for low pressure to be the dominant feature situated either over or just to the west of the UK bringing a continued risk of rain or showers at times, perhaps with some heavy rain in places too and perhaps windy in the north and west as well. Temperatures cool, again particularly compared with recent weeks. Highs 12C to 17C, lowest in the north and west.
The unsettled spell is forecast to continue through Friday at the moment as low pressure becomes dominant to the west or north-west and this maintaining an unsettled west or south-westerly wind across many areas. Further rain or showers are forecast at times, especially in the north and west where potentially heavy, but with some drier intervals in the far south and south-east. Many areas remaining much cooler than of late, particularly in the north and west. Highs 12C to 18C.
By next Saturday and it is low pressure which is forecast to be slow moving to the north-west that will maintain the unsettled conditions. Many northern and western areas especially will likely see further rain or showers at times, perhaps heavy and remaining breezy if not windy here. DRier further south and east, especially in the south-east with some sunny spells, but showers are possible. Cool, particularly in the north and west. Highs 13C to 18C.
The unsettled weather is likely to continue through to next Sunday at the moment as low pressure continues to dominate just to the north-west. Further rain or showers seem likely, particularly in the north and west, while still drier in the south and east with some sunny spells but with an on-going risk of showers too. Cool for most, perhaps rather warm in the south-east. Highs 13C to 19C, highest in the far south-east.
