Hot end to the week with thundery rain in the south over the weekend, cooler and more showery north
Hotting up later this week as temperatures reach 30C in parts of southeast England. Cooler air in the north and west and this will be reaching all areas through the weekend. Next week is set to be cooler with sunny spells and some showers, most in the north and west.

A front brings some rain and stronger winds into the northern half of Scotland through Friday, patchy rain in the south. Rain may also affect the far west of Ireland. Dry in most other areas with a fair amount of cloud to the north and west. Some sunny spells developing in more central and southern areas it will be very warm here. Highs at a very warm 30C in southeast England, cooler in northern and western Scotland at 15 to 17C.
A front lying west to east through England, Wales and southern Ireland. This brings cloud and some thundery outbreaks of rain here. It is currently unclear where most of the rain will be, and so there is still much uncertainty. It is likely that the rain is light at first and then becomes steadier through the day. Perhaps staying drier in the far south. Breezy in southern areas as well as being very warm. Cooler for Scotland and the north of Ireland as well as northern England. Some sunny spells here but also showers. A risk of some showery rain in northern England. Highs at 14 to 16C for most, but to a muggy 27C in the far south.
A thundery area of low pressure over northern France on Sunday. There will be cloud and rain, some of it heavy and thundery in southern England and south Wales with mist and fog, especially over hills. Brighter for northern England, north wales, Ireland and Scotland, cooler here too. Highs at 19C in southeast England, more widely 11 to 14C. Monday 20/6/22
A ridge of high pressure brings a dry day over England and Wales with sunny spells, the best in the east and south. Cloud and rain in western Scotland, brighter in the east. Probably some cloud through Ireland too. Highs at 23C in southern England, 15C in western Scotland.
A weak front may slip south through Scotland and Ireland today bringing cloud. There could be some spots of rain over the hills of Scotland but mostly it should be dry. Brighter in the south with sunny spells, and sunny spells also developing in Scotland and Ireland. Highs at 15C in northwest Scotland, 24C in southeast England.
A fair day in the south with sunny spells and dry weather. Fronts affecting Scotland with some rain here, mopst in the north and west. Increasing cloud in northern England too. Highs at 24c in southeast England, more generally 19 to 22C and just 12C in the rain in northern Scotland.
