Heavy rain, severe gales
Very mild then cooler

Issued: 0923 Saturday 26 December 2015
Duty forecaster: John Ejdowski

Unsettled into New Year

A strong jet stream will continue to develop deep areas of low pressure to the west. This will bring in heavy rains often accompanied by strong gales. Wednesday and early Thursday there is the potential for damaging winds. The risk of flooding is also increased this week. We expect temperatures to be mild to very mild with some cooling off later in the week.
