Western Scotland will continue to see rain, which should gradually ease through the day. Other western areas may experience light patchy rain or drizzle, while eastern and southeastern England could enjoy sunny spells. Rain will get heavy in west in the afternoon. Highs will be between 8°C and 10°C.

Thickening cloud and strong winds will arrive in Ireland, accompanied by heavy rain. This system will spread eastward across Scotland, Wales, and England. Gales are possible in northwest Scotland. Drier towards the east coast. Temperatures will peak at 12°C in the west and 9°C in the east.


 

Thursday 19/12/2024
A windy and cloudy day with frequent heavy showers moving in from the west. Winds turning northwesterly in the morning will bring colder air, with wintry showers expected over higher ground. Western Scotland may see prolonged rain and hill snow later in the day. Maximum temperatures will be around 7°C in north and west and 10°C elsewhere.

Showers, wintry over higher ground, will gradually ease off through the morning. A band of heavy rain will reach Ireland in the afternoon, soon spreading east. Winds will remain brisk, with temperatures topping out at 7°C in the north and 9°C in the south.

A chilly day with frequent rain and hill snow in the morning. Showers will gradually retreat to eastern areas as high pressure builds from the west. Winds will remain brisk, with temperatures topping out at 6°C in the north and 8°C in the south.
