Unsettled, eventually becoming milder by the weekend, rain and showers for all

The colder weather of the past few days is ging to persist into the later stages of the week in eastern and northern areas. Milder air battles to get into Ireland and western parts of the UK. This milder air eventually makes it to all areas through Sunday and Monday. Unsettled weather continues with rain and showers for all.

Friday 11/12/20
Low pressure is going to be over the UK and Ireland on Friday. This will bring cloud and periods of rain, most in the north and east. Becoming drier and brighter in Ireland and western parts of Wales and England. Rather misty in eastern areas too. Staying cool in the east with temperatures around 5 or 6C. Turning milder in the west with highs around 9 or 10C.
 

Saturday 12/11/20
A slack area of low pressure continues to affect the UK and Ireland. There will be a fair amount of cloud with outbreaks of drizzle and some fog on hills. Misty for many with fog patches at lower levels too. Brighter in western Wales and southwest England as well as Ireland. Tops at a cool 5 to 7C in the east, 9C in the brighter southwest.
 

Sunday 13/12/20
A wetter day for Sunday as a large area of low pressure is positioned to the west of Ireland. Fronts pass eastwards bringing rain into Ireland in the morning, then spreading to all areas in the afternoon. The winds increasing to with a risk of gales in the west. Highs at 8C in the east, 11C in the west.

Monday 14/12/20
Fronts in the east giving rain, most in the southeast. Brighter in western and northern areas with some sunny spells. Drier here overal, but some heavy showers over western coasts and hills. Breezy in the west. Highs at a milder 9 to 12C.

Tuesday 15/12/20
A bright morning, especially in the north and east. Rain in Ireland and western parts of the UK will be turning heavy. The rain sweeps eastwards through the day. Highs at 9 to 13C.

Wednesday 16/12/20
Rain in the east at first. This clears to leave sunny spells and brighter weather, but also some showers over western coasts and hills. Tops at 9 to 13C.
