Some light rain or showers, mostly northwest
A few very warm days this week will give way to cooler air returning from the west by Thursday into Friday. A good deal of fine weather in the outlook.

Thursday 27/6/24 Low pressure over the Atlantic pushes rain and showers into the west of Britain and Ireland, but areas further south and east more likely dry and warm. Localised thundery bursts may develop over eastern England. Southern counties more likely dry. Strong southwesterly breezes in the west. Highs 18 to 28C, warmest southeast England, feeling humid here, but becoming fresher from the west.
Friday 28/6/24 Feeling fresher for all with a westerly breeze. Showery and breezy for western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Broken cloud and sunny spells for England and Wales, occasional showers in the northwest. Local brief showers possible for central areas, but mainly dry in the south and southeast. Highs 16 to 23C, warmest south.
Saturday 29/6/24 Many places likely to stay dry with variable cloud and sunny spells. Risk of showery rain mainly in western Scotland and to the west of Ireland with a breeze from the Atlantic. Mostly light winds. Highs 17 to 24C.
Sunday 30/6/24 High pressure is likely to bring a fine day for many. Low risk of local showery rain developing. Highs 18 to 25C, warmest in south.
Monday 1/7/24 Risk of some rain moving into the west of Ireland and Scotland, but many places dry with sunny spells. Warmest for the south, cooler northwest. Highs 17 to 25C.
Tuesday 2/7/24 Fine with sunny spells for many. Breezy toward the northwest with more cloud and some drizzly showers for western Scotland and northwest of Ireland. Highs 17 to 24C.
