Ongoing unsettled weather patterns to continue well into August
Low pressure sitting to the west of Britain will push warm and humid air across the country in the next few days, with some further heavy bursts of rain at times. Low pressure will continue to dominate next week, with further hit and miss downpours expected. Generally wet weather is due to persist for at least the 10 day outlook.

Little change in the overall pattern, with a humid south to southwesterly airflow prevailing as low pressure remains to the northwest. Outbreaks of showery rain from early in the day moving from west to east across the country and, once again, local heavy bursts are expected to develop for some. These tending to ease through the afternoon. Between the showers, and through the afternoon, there will be good spells of sunshine. High temperatures at 17 to 24C.
Areas of persistent rain are likely to affect many western and northern parts of Britain and Ireland as Atlantic fronts continue to feed in from an area of low pressure to the northwest. Showery outbreaks of rain will also affect eastern and southern areas. A lot of cloud around on Tuesday and a rather humid feel again for many places. Winds generally light, breezy near some western coasts. High temperatures at 16 to 23C.
Slack low pressure continues to dominate our weather into midweek with a continuation of areas of rain and local heavy showers affecting many. Some thundery bursts in places. Light winds means showers will move around slowly though a few spots may miss them and stay dry. High temperatures at 16 to 23C.
Low pressure is likely to stay nearby to the northeast bringing heavy and thundery downpours for parts of Scotland and the northeast of England. For southwestern parts of the UK, there may be very little rain. Feeling less warm than earlier in the week with highs at 15 to 23C.
The unsettled story is expected to continue, although detail is very uncertain at this time. Areas of light rain or showers probably affecting some, but with sunny spells for most. High temperatures at 15 to 24C.
Detail continues to be uncertain but another area of low pressure could bring heavy showers, outbreaks of rain and gusty winds to many across the British Isles. High temperatures at 16 to 24C.
