Dry for most with sunny spells, warming up too before turning chillier and showery in the middle part of next week

Becoming dry for most through the weekend and into the early stages of next week. Hugh pressure is expected to be building west of Ireland. By the middle to the end of next week the flow turning more northerly bringing some showers, most to the north. Feeling chilly in the wind.

Saturday 1/6/24
The ridge of high pressure remains on Saturday. This should bring a bright day with sunny spells and it should be dry too. There is a risk of some thicker cloud in eastern parts, and a low chance of a shower close to the coasts. Some cloud too in northwest Scotland. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 18 to 20C elsewhere.


Sunday 2/6/24
High pressure west of Ireland again on Sunday. Broken cloud and bright spells for most, the best of these in the south and west. Most cloud in northern and western Scotland, one or two showers here. Highs at 16 to 20C for most.


Monday 3/6/24
High pressure stays west of Ireland on Monday. More cloud for many, although this broken with some sunny spells, the best in southern and central areas. Some showery rain in northern and western Scotland. Highs at 16 to 21C.


Tuesday 4/6/24
Pressure stays high west of Ireland on Tuesday. Broken cloud for most with sunny spells in the south. A few spots of rain in western Scotland and the coasts of Northern Ireland. Tops near 23C in southern England, 15C in northern Scotland.


Wednesday 5/6/24
Some rain in northern and western Scotland as an area of low pressure approaches from the north. Brighter for the rest of the country with sunny spells, best in the south. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 23C in southern England.

Thursday 6/6/24
Low pressure east of the country and high pressure west on Thursday. Showers across many parts of Scotland northern England, Wales and the north and west of Ireland. Tending to be drier in southern areas of England, Wales and Ireland with the best sunshine here. Feeling chilly in the wind. Highs at 11 to 18C.
