Plenty of dry weather, feeling warm, some cloud and patchy rain in the west
Warm conditions in the week ahead with rainfall amounts below average. Many areas of England and Wales as likely to be dry. Some weak fronts making their way into Ireland and western Scotland giving a few spots of rain here and there. Hints of sunnier and dry weather into next weekend.

High pressure to the east on Monday with lower pressure to the west. Broken cloud and sunny spells for many in the morning. However, showers may quickly develop in central and southern parts of England and Wales. These spread and develop further north as the morning progresses, with the risk of some heavy and thundery showers into the afternoon. Tending to be drier in eastern Ireland and western parts of Scotland, Wales and southwest England, although some low cloud on coasts here. Highs at 18 to 23C.
Showers again over the far east of England and East Anglia, together with southeast England. Mostly fair elsewhere with sunny spells, the best of them to the north and west. More cloud in Ireland and western Scotland, a few spots of drizzle affecting western coasts too. Highs at 23C in the east, 20C in Ireland.
A southwest flow may develop over the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. A front bringing some rain with plenty of cloud through Ireland and western Scotland. Drier and brighter for other areas with sunny spells, just a low risk of a shower in the east. Highs at 20 to 26C.
Higher pressure remains over much of the UK and Ireland on Thursday. The southwest flow may bring cloud and some spots of light rain in western parts of Ireland and western coasts of Scotland. Dry and warm for other areas with plenty of sunshine. Highs at 19 to 27C.
A weakening front passing into Scotland and Ireland on Friday bringing cloud and some outbreaks of rain. Most of the rain in northern and western Scotland. Dry for most of England and Wales, although some cloud affects western Wales. Highs at 16 to 25C.
Higher pressure building into Ireland on Saturday. There will be dry conditions with the best sunshine in Ireland and Scotland. Perhaps some broken cloud in northern and western England and Wales. Highs at 17 to 23C.
