A warmer week and dry with good spells of sunshine, breezy in the south

Higher pressure building into next week bringing a spell of drier weather. Temperatures are going to be warming too and there will be good spells of sunshine, best in the west. Breezy at times in southern areas.

Tuesday 17/9/24
High pressure remains on Tuesday. The flow becoming more northeasterly over the southern half of England which increases the risk of cloud in central and eastern areas. More cloud in the far northwest of Scotland. For most areas though it is a dry day with lots of sunshine. Morning mist patches in Scotland and the far north of England slowly clearing. Highs at 19 to 23C.

Wednesday 18/9/24
High pressure east of Scotland on Wednesday. A brisk easterly wind affecting southern areas of England. The day should be dry and bright with good spells of sunshine, the best of these in western areas. Highs at 20 to 25C.



 
 
 

Thursday 19/9/24
Staying breezy on Thursday with high pressure in control north of Scotland. Some low cloud may drift onto eastern coasts at times. Elsewhere it should be dry and bright with good spells of sunshine, the best of these in the west. Tops near 21 to 25C.



 
 
 

Friday 20/9/24
Breezy again on Friday. Cloudier skies could occur in southern and eastern areas, although remaining dry. The best sunshine again in more northern and western areas. Temperatures at 21 to 26C.



 
 
 

Saturday 21/9/24
The high pressure areas to the north of Scotland. A strong northeast wind in may areas of England, wales, Ireland and southern Scotland. The threat of cloud and a few spots of rain in England and Wales, brighter in Scotland and Ireland. Highs at 17C on eastern coasts, 20 to 25C for other areas.

Sunday 22/9/24
The area of high pressure close to northern Scotland. A northeast flow for the rest of the country. A risk of cloud again in central and southern areas, a few spots of rain in central and southern parts too. Probably brighter in the west. Tops at 18 to 23C.
