Weather starts to break towards the end of the week with mixed weather into next week

Weather breaks down towards the end of this week for many with rain and or showers, these heavy and perhaps thundery, though the warmth still expected across southern and eastern areas. Unsettled weather continues at the weekend and through the start of next week too with a few cooler days to expected more widely.

Friday 24/6/22
Low pressure is expected to be close to Northern Ireland on Friday with cloud and rain expected to spread from west to east across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Meanwhile, sunny spells and a few thundery showers across central and eastern England where it will be feeling warm too, these quickly pushing into Scotland where some may merge into longer spells of rain, heavy in places. Drier through southern English counties and Wales though some rain is expected to push into western areas here later. Temperatures warm at 26C in eastern England, 15C in Ireland.


Saturday 25/6/22
Low pressure still dominant on Saturday giving an unsettled day for some. Showers and or longer spells of rain looking like affecting much of Ireland, Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland. Much of England and perhaps Wales dry for a time before heavier rain pushes into southeastern and eastern areas of England later moving up from the near continent. Highs at 22 to 24C in the east, 16 to 21C in other areas.

Sunday 26/6/22
Low pressure close by Scotland on Sunday. The day is likely to be showery, although there will be some sunny spells too. Showers may be heavy in the north and west. Drier conditions towards the south. Highs at 15 to 22C.

Monday 27/6/22
Low pressure to the west of Scotland on Monday pulling through outbreaks of rain across Scotland, Northern Ireland as well as across many regions of northern England, though drier towards the east here. Showers affecting western regions of Wales and southwest England with showers perhaps widespread through Ireland. Drier elsewhere with sunny spells. A breezy and reasonably cool day for most generally. Highs near 14 to 19C.

Tuesday 28/6/22
Dry for many for a time on Tuesday before rain pushes in from the southwest, heavy across southern Ireland, southwest England into Wales later before pushing northeastwards. Highs at 15 to 22C.

Wednesday 29/6/22
Unsettled with cloud and rain across Scotland, parts of northern England and eastern regions of Ireland. Drier, brighter and feeling warm elsewhere. Highs at 20 to 26C across central and east England, 13 to 19C elsewhere.
