Warm and mostly dry start, then cooler and more unsettled later this week and into the weekend
A warm and mostly dry spells of weather at first this week.Lower pressure develops later in the week and through the weekend. This will be bringing moe unsettled conditions with cloud and rain, most of it in the west of the UK and Ireland. Cooler for all areas.

A thundery area of low pressure drifting into the English Channel through Thursday. This is going to be bringing increasing cloud. Thundery showers will be developing in the afternoon, reaching southern coasts by the evening. A further area of cloud and rain will be moving into northwest Scotland. For other areas the day is going to be dry with sunny spells. Highs at 27C in southeast England, widely 23 to 26C but 18C in western Scotland.
Low pressure is expected to be close to Northern Ireland on Friday. There will be some sunny spells and a few thundery showers across central and eastern England where it will be feeling warm too. More persistent cloud edging slowly eastwards through Ireland. The rain reaches western parts of Scotland too before reaching western coasts of Wales and England in the evening. Temperatures at 26C in eastern England, 15C in Ireland.
Low pressure stays close to western Scotland on Saturday. It is going to be an unsettled day with rain crossing from west to east, some of it heavy in central and southern areas. Turning brighter and more showery in the west, the showers heavy at times. Highs at 21C in the eats, 16 to 19C in other areas. Sunday 26/6/22
Low pressure to the north of Scotland on Sunday. The day is likely to be showery, although there will be some sunny spells too. Showers may be heavy in the west. Highs at 12 to 20C.
A front will be giving rain to Ireland on Monday. Some showers over western coasts and hills of England and Wales with rain in western Scotland. Brighter in central and eastern areas and drier here too. Highs near 14 to 19C.
Low pressure close to the west of Ireland on Tuesday. Rain affectes Scotland and Ireland, most of the rain in western Scotland. Rain is likely to be lighter in Wales and western England. Central and eastern England will be brighter and drier. Highs at 24C in southeast England, 16C in Ireland and western Scotland.
