A change in the weather into the middle stages of next week as much cooler, showery weather affects all areas. Before then the weekend is likely to be mostly dry with sunny spells, although a brisk east wind affecting more southern areas.

A weak ridge of high pressure affects southern and central parts of England on Monday. There will be lengthy spells of sunshine in central and southern parts of England and Wales. The sunshine turns more hazy over southern Ireland and northern England as high cloud increases and thickens. A front brings rain into northern and western Scotland in the afternoon, turning heavier in the northwest later. Highs at 21 to 24C in the sunshine to the south, a cooler 16 to 18C in the cloudier north.
Lower pressure on Tuesday with a weakening cold front spreading southwards across northern and western England and Wales in the morning, this reaching southern and southeast England during the afternoon. Brighter weather following to the north and west, this bringing sunny spells and showers. The showers will be heavy in northern and western Scotland as well as northwest England. Highs around 13 to 16C for many, 18C in the southeast.
Outbreaks of rain tracking eastwards across the country on Wednesday. This brings cooler and breezier weather to all. There will be some longer spells of rain at times, heaviest in the west. Eastern areas tending to see some bright or sunny spells earlier in the day. Highs at 11 to 17C.
A complex area of low affects the British Isles on Thursday. This is going to be bringing showers or longer spells of rain. Most of the rain is expected to be n the west. Highs at 11 to 15C.
Low pressure is going to cross the UK and will be in the North Sea on Friday. This allows for north to northwest winds to developing bringing sunny spells and frequent showers. The showers heavy in the north and west which is where the strongest winds will be too. Highs at 12 to 15C.
Another cold day in the northwest wind. There will be sunny spells and showers. The showers could be heavy and thundery in northern and western areas. The best of the sunny spells in more southern areas. Highs at 10 to 14C.
