Often windy with frost mainly in the north
An unsettled start to the week as low pressure and moves across the south bringing persistent and heavy rain. From Wednesday a cell of high pressure takes control of the weather and will turn it mainly dry and it will be rather cold, especially in the winds that will be quite a feature across England and Wales. A strong east to north east wind is likely to bring in plenty of cloud to England and Wales with Scotland the sunniest. Frost is likely to affect northern England and Scotland as the south may keep too much cloud and wind.
