Southerly air prevails
High pressure located just east of Britain during early November promotes a southerly airflow, bringing mild or very mild conditions at times. Ireland and western Scotland are likely to see a little rain coming in from the Atlantic.

Monday 4/11/24 High pressure influences the country. Some dense fog patches in the morning, mostly central, south and eastern areas, these slow to clear during the day. Variable cloud and areas of sun breaking through, best to the north of high ground in Wales, southwest England, the northwest and northern Scotland. Fresh southeasterly breezes for western parts of Britain and across Ireland. Generally mild, but cooler if fog lingers locally. Highs 10 to 15C.
Tuesday 5/11/24 Fog widespread in central and eastern areas as pressure remains high to the east. Dry for most, sun best in the northeast. Some drizzle or light rain for Ireland as a front approaches here with a stronger breeze. Very mild southerly air moves into southwestern regions of Britain and Ireland. Highs 12 to 17C, warmest southwest.
Wednesday 6/11/24 Damp but very mild southwesterly drifts across the British Isles, bringing a lot of cloud, some drizzly rain to western hills, possible steadier rain for western Ireland for a time. Central, south and eastern areas likely dry, local fog patches. Some cloud breaks and warmest toward the north and east of hills. Highs 13 to 18C.
Thursday 7/11/24 High pressure stays to the southeast, steering fronts west and north of Scotland. Damp and murky for many western areas, but dry across central and eastern regions. Some areas of fog possible in the east. Strongest breezes for Scotland and Ireland. Highs 13 to 18C, warmest with some sun to the north and east of hills.
Friday 8/11/24 Mild southerly winds prevail. Some drizzly rain for western Scotland and Ireland, otherwise largely dry. Cloudy for many, but again the best of brightness and warmest to the northeast of high ground. Highs 12 to 18C.
Saturday 9/11/24 Southwesterly winds bring mostly cloudy skies and some drizzly rain, particularly to western areas. Dry toward central and southeastern areas. Staying mild, highs 12 to 16C, warmest in the east.
