Changeable and becoming warmer again after a few fresher days

A fresher few days although turning warmer again towards the end of the week and into the weekend. The weather tends to be changeable through the week with a period of drier weather followed by more mixed conditions and a strong breeze in the south. Then turning fresher and showery next week.

Thursday 14/9/23
Low pressure north of Scotland on Wednesday. Fronts pass east into the morning with some heavy rain in northern Scotland. A front brings cloud and some outbreaks of rain in the far south of Ireland, Wales, central and northern England. Low cloud and mist affecting western and some southern coasts. Muggy in the south and east. Fresher for Scotland and northern England and Ireland with sunshine in the northwest. Breezy in Scotland too with some showers in the northwest. Highs at 25C in the southeast, 14C in northern Scotland, 15 to 17C for others.

Friday 15/9/23
A front gives rain in the far south of Ireland and Wales with some drizzle in the far southwest. Bits of rain in northern England too. Muggy and drier in southeast England. Brighter for the rest of northern England and Ireland with some showers and breezy weather in the far north of Scotland. Highs at 26C in southeast England, 12C in Scotland and Ireland.

Saturday 16/9/23
High pressure west of Ireland on Saturday. Breezy in the south with cloud and outbreaks of rain. Fair in Scotland, Ireland and northern England. Temperatures at 27C in southern England, 14C in northern Scotland.

Sunday 17/9/23
High pressure close to Scotland with low pressure to the south. Breezy in southern areas with some cloud and a few spots of rain and showers along southern coasts. Fair for other areas with good spells of sunshine, the best of these in Scotland and western areas of the country. Highs at 27C in eastern England, 19C in Scotland.

Monday 18/9/23
Low pressure over southern England bringing some heavy rain in Wales, southern Ireland and central and southern England. Fair for northern England and Scotland with some sunny spells, best in the west. Highs at 24C in the east, 19C in Scotland and the western UK, 16C in Ireland.

Tuesday 19/9/23
Another more mixed day. Fronts passing east taking rain and showers with them. Turning brighter from the west later. Highs at 12 to 19C.
