Milder air from this weekend though an unsettled pattern sets up

Relatively cooler today and tomorrow before a milder flow moves back in again as we head through the weekend and next week. A ridge of higher pressure builds today and tomorrow before Atlantic low pressure moves in at the weekend bringing rain at times and brisk winds.

Sunday 24/10/21
Patchy spells of rain push east across the country on Sunday with plenty of drier and brighter periods in between. More persistent, heavier spells of rain expected across western Scotland. A windy day for all with blustery showers behind the rain. Highs at a milder 12 to 17C.
 

Monday 25/10/21
Another mixed day with blustery winds. Sunny spells and showers are expected, these most frequent in the west. Eastern areas are likely to stay largely dry and may start bright, although with cloud increasing later and the chance for southeastern English counties to see a few scattered showers. Highs at 10 to 17C.
 

Tuesday 26/10/21
A windy day once more and largely cloudy. Some showery rain across Scotland and into northwest England as well as across western regions of Ireland. Largely dry elsewhere with some brighter spells at times across southern English counties. A milder day for all with highs at 14 to 18C.

Wednesday 27/10/21
A front will push patchy outbreaks of rain southwards down Scotland then England and Wales on Wednesday. Staying breezy, particularly further west where showers are expected. Largely dry elsewhere with a few sunnier intervals. Highs at 17C in the far south of England, 10C in northwest Scotland.

Thursday 28/10/21
Staying windy on Thursday with a front bringing rain across Ireland, northern England and Scotland. Drier and brighter through the rest of England and Wales, although rain could reach west Wales later. Highs at 13 to 18C.

Friday 29/10/21
A largely dry day with sunny spells, although some rain across Wales into western parts of England for a time. Highs mild still at 12 to 17C.
