Windy with showers into weekend then drier next week for a time before gradually breaking down later in the week
Windy for many into and through the weekend with blustery showers further north and west. Then higher pressure builds seeing largely dry and fine weather early next week. The risk of then lower pressure trying to move in later in the week though staying largely dry and warm in the south.

A ridge of high pressure builds through the country during Monday. This brings plenty of dry and fair weather with sunny spells. The risk of a few showery bursts of rain in northern and western Scotland, these turning more persistent later. Isolated showers affecting other western coasts and hills further north and west too. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 22C in southern England.
Pressure stays generally high on Tuesday giving mostly dry weather with sunny spells, the best in the east and south. Always more cloud in western areas, especially western Scotland and western Ireland where there will be some showery rain. Highs at 24C in the southeast, 16C in northern Scotland.
Pressure lowers slightly on Wednesday allowing for the greater risk of some showery rain across parts of the country. Confidence is low on where showers are to be expected at this stage, though with high pressure not too far away there will be plenty of dry places with sunny spells too. Highs at 15 to 23C.
High pressure ridges back in across much of England, Wales and southern Ireland on Thursday seeing largely dry and fine conditions here. Meanwhile, there is a risk of rain moving in across Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland and northwest England. Highs at 15 to 23C.
Higher pressure still more likely across southern regions of Britain on Friday so mostly dry and fine with sunny spells and feeling warm in central and southern England and south Ireland. A greater risk of showers and or longer spells of rain further north and west. Highs at 15 to 19C further north, 20 to 24C further south.
On Saturday, far southern areas are still expected to see largely dry, fair and warm weather, though with lower pressure moving in further north expect more showers and or rain across parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, much of Ireland into northern England. Highs at a potnetially warm 16 to 26C.
