Frosts becoming less likely through the week

We lose the cold north winds early this week in favour of a milder south westerly flow as temperatures increase. It will also turn more unsettled as weather fronts move in off the Atlantic to bring rain to all parts of Britain. After a couple of cold, frosty nights, the risk of frost decreases.

Wednesday 09/11/16
A bit milder today as temperatures return closer to normal. Still feeling chilly in brisk north west winds. Residual rain in the east clears by afternoon. Most places will be dry with good sunny spells. Scattered showers to affect western areas. Expect high temperatures of 6 to 10C.

Thursday 10/11/16
An area of rain in the west becomes more patchy and light as it moves across the country. Continued mild. Windier overnight with rain across England and Wales, dry and cold across Scotland with a frost in sheltered glens. Highs of 7 to 11C.

 
 
 

Friday 11/11/16
Friday appears mild and quite windy with possible gales in the south west. Generally a wet day to come but turning drier in the west later in the day. Showers linger in the west overnight, otherwise a dry night across the country. Highs of 7 to 14C.

 
 
 

Saturday 12/11/16
Today temperatures are down a few degrees but holding near to above normal. A mainly dry and breezy day with sunny spells. Just a few showers to be found around North Sea coasts. Frosty overnight across England and Wales as the winds fall lighter while rain comes in across Northern Ireland. Highs of 7 to 9C.
 

Sunday 13/11/16
It appears breezy with rain in the west spreading into all but East Anglia and the south east of England. The rain will be heaviest in the north and the west. Highs of 7 to 10C.

Monday 14/11/16
A windy, unsettled day. Rain clears eastern England in the morning then fair and dry. Outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain to affect Scotland and Northern Ireland. Gales may affect northern Scotland. Expect highs of 7 to 10C.
