Cold start on Saturday then a fine day for many. A milder and more unsettled flow moves back in from Sunday. Next week sees mixed weather further north and west, while drier further south and east though at times some rain here.

Monday 25/9/23 The southwest flow remains on Monday. For many it will be a largely dry and reasonably fine day though expect showers to affect northwest England and through western Scotland longer spells of rain here. Highs at 16 to 23C.
Tuesday 26/9/23 Higher pressure builds to the south and east bringing a fair day here. It will be warm in the sunshine too. More cloud in northern and western areas where there will be outbreaks of rain. Highs around 15 to 22C.
Wednesday 27/9/23 A windy day on Wednesday as an Atlantic area of low pressure pushes over Ireland towards Scotland. Cloud and outbreaks of rain affect moost areas, though southeast England staying mainly dry and the rain largely clearing southwest England and Wales. Highs at 15 to 21C.
Thursday 28/9/23 A brief ridge sees a dry and fair start for most, though western areas will soon see cloud build and outbreaks of rain move in on a brisk southwesterly wind as the next area of low pressure moves towards Scotland. Southern and eastern areas remaining dry. Highs at 14 to 20C.
Friday 29/9/23 A ridge of higher pressure gradually builds across southern areas on Friday allowing for most to stay dry and fair with good sunny spells here. Scattered showers further north though these should ease back through the day. Highs at 17 to 22C.
Saturday 30/9/23 The ridge on Saturday allows for a cool start though bright for many. Cloud soon builds in the west with outbreaks of rain expected to soon move in across far western areas. The east looking to stay dry. Highs at 17 to 22C.
