Any remaining light rain or shower in west in the morning will gradually clear away as a ridge of high pressure moves in from the west with some sunny spells developing over east Scotland and east England in the afternoon. Further west remaining rather cloudy as a band of rain reaches Ireland by late afternoon and possibly giving some rain over Wales and northwest England. The wind will start strong, but getting lighter later. Afternoon temperatures at 7C in north and 10C in south.

A rather cloudy day with strengthening winds and outbreaks of rain spreading east through the morning and afternoon, this possibly heavy in over western areas and high ground. Temperature in the afternoon at 6C in north and 10C in south.



 
 
 

Friday 26/01/2024
Any rain clears in the morning, with plenty of showers following for Northern Ireland and Scotland, these turning wintry over high ground. Further south, as high pressure arrives once the morning rain clears, then mostly dry conditions will follow but with rather cloudy skies. Best of the brightness over eastern England with some sunny spells possible. Maximum temperatures at 5C in north and 8C in south. Some frost is possible in south overnight.

Saturday 27/01/2024
South and eastern parts will a rather cloudy but mostly dry Saturday morning and afternoon. Further north and west the day will start cloudy with showers, but a longer spell of rain is expected later this spreading to all in the evening. A breezy day with maximum temperatures at 6C in north but 8C in south.

A mostly dry bright start for all. Another band of rain is expected to spread east through the afternoon and evening. Temperatures in the afternoon at 6C in north and 8C in south.

Monday 29/01/2024
A ridge of high pressure builds over the country with generally dry and bright conditions for all. Afternoon temperatures at 5C in north but 7C in south.
