Issued: 0800 Tuesday 23rd August 2016
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

A changeable week with hot weather in the east but turning cooler for most

A changeable week of weather to come across the whole of the UK and Ireland. A brief hit of hotter weather in eastern areas of England over the coming few days will be gone by Saturday. Cooler and fresher to north and west. There will be some thundery outbreaks of rain at times through the end of the week, then staying more unsettled in Scotland and Ireland. Hints of staying mixed next week.
