Mainly dry with sunshine for much of Lancashire through Worcestershire to Berkshire though with scattered showers into the afternoon cold with high windchill temperatire briefly 3C into the afternoon Severe frost overnight for Scotland and N.Ireland -10 at lowest Lancashire to Borders, generally -3C elswhere
Friday 03 January 2025 Remaining cold for all, sunshine and squally showers Western Isles to Shetland, fringing into Derry and Antrim, showers mainly of rain around coast, increasing of snow with height, temperature generally near 0C. Although cold for England and Wales the day will remain generally dry with sunshine and variable cloud temperature 3C brielfy into the afternoon. Overnight a widespread moderate to severe frost, lowest temperature for inland Scotland where snow cover persists below -5C, elsewhere -3C Shropshire to Leicestershire
Saturday 04 Janaury 2025 Cloudy through the morning with outbreaks of rain Devon and Cornwall, into Glamorgan, Herefordshire through to Berkshire with snow at height, rain and a mix with snow across towards Essex later am and into the afternoon gradually easing by evening, cold temperature around 1C with high windchill. Cloudy with periods of snow Argyll to Highland, later towards Aberdeenshire, remaining areas from Borders to Powys eastwards to Yorkshire sunshine, variable cloud scattered showers and cold Early and widespread moderate frost overnight. Becoming cloudy across southern England overnight with a mix of rain and snow becomning prolonged
Sunday 05 Janaury Cloudy with prolonged, often heavy rain with snow at height throughout most of the day Devon along to Hampshire towards Kent, northwards into Powys, Worcestershire to Nottinghamshire, later Lincolnshire slowly edging into Cheshire to Yorkshire, temperatures remaining near 0C throughout. Scotland and N.Ireland continue cold with further snow showers along windward coasts, severe frost overnight.
Monday 06 January Continuing cold for all, severe and persitent frost for much of Scotland with further squally snow showers. Sunshine and coastal showers Borders to Norfolk, some rain clearing through Kent temperature remaining below 0C for all of England and Wales -5 Clwyd and Shropshire to Wiltshire with snow cover,-3 through midlands.
