Cold for all with sunshine and mainly coastal showers mix of rain and snow. Cloudy with frequent blustery showers across Highland, Western Isles, Antrim and Derry coasts, along with Shetland to Borders temperature 1C with high windchill. Remainder of Scotland dry with sunshine, severe frost to start persisting most of the day with temperature briefly above 0C Antrim to Dumfries. Showers continuing throught he evening and overnight Western Isles to Shetland, dry elsewhere severe frost -6C Highland to Borders. Dry with severe frost to start, sunshine then through the morning and into the afternoon, scattered showers, frost persisting Cumbria to Northumberland, Clwyd, Cheshore to Yorkshire staying cold, briefly 2C into the afternoon Showers continuing along North Sea coast Borders to Norfolk, coastal showers fringing into Powys to Cornwall, dry with sunshine Shhropshire to Oxfordshire trhough to Surrey, Hampshire to Kent temperatires 3C into the afternoon. Widespread moderate frost evening and overnight


Friday 03 January 2025
Remaining cold for all, Severe frost to start Highland to Borders though a dry day with sunshine and variable cloud temperature briefly 2C into the afternoon, scattered showers with mix of snow Western Isles to Shetland, Derry and Antrim through to Argyll and Dumfries, mix of showers running across Aberdeenshire to Moray. England and Wales dry with sunshine and variable cloud severe frost to start Cumbria to Yorkshire -6C, briefly 2C into the afternoon, Dry with sunshine and variable cloud Powys to Leicestershire through to Worcestershire to Hampshire afternoon temperature 3C. Dry into and through the evening with early frost becoming widespread overnight -3C generally though below -5 with snow cover.


Saturday 04 Janaury 2025
Continuing cold for England and Wales frost persisting to mid-morning, sunshine and variable cloud for most temperature briefly 2C into the afternoon. Sunshine and scattered showers for Antrim and Derry, running through to Gwynedd to Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria during the afternoon and into the evening increasing windchill 2C briefly with early frost. Fors Scotland a cloudy day with frequent showers through the morning into Western Isles, across Highland to Shetland, showers merging to give a longer period of mostly rain through snow mainly at height though general by evening through Stirling and Perth later into Ayrshire and Borders. Moderate frost overnight


Sunday 05 Janaury
Continuing cold for all with increasing wind chill with fresh Northwest wind, likely galses Shetland to Borders, showers across most of Scotland will again merge with more widespread rain and snow mix mainly clearing through the evening, temperature generally near or remaing below 0C.


 


Monday 06 January
Cloudy breezy and generally cold, high windchill Yorkshire to Norfolk with a fresh NE wind and showers running onto coasts, 3C. Sunshine and scattered showers western Scotland, elsewhere mainly dry though cloudy at times limited sunshine 5C. For England and Wales sunshine and showers for coastal Clwyd, Powys, Northumberland into Yorkshire though to Nottinghamshire to Norfolk with outbreaks of snow at height, showers transferring southwards towards Kent by evening, early frost for all becoming severe overnight central Scotland, moderate Yorkshire to Hampshire
