A windy morning for all, gales in the north and west. Cloudy across much of England, Wales and Ireland. A band of rain across Northern Ireland and northern England, edging south. Colder and bright in Scotland, some showers north and west. The rain band than passing through southern Ireland, Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia. Cloudy southern England with some drizzle. Brighter and colder weather pushing south through Northern Ireland and northern England as well as Scotland. Showers in the north and west. Heavy rain in Shetland, gales in northeast Scotland. Highs at 18C in the far south, 10C in northern Scotland, with colder air spreading south during the day.


Tuesday Night
A chilly night ahead. Staying breezy in the northwest wind. Showers northern and western Scotland as well as northwest England and the north and west of Wales. Some showers in northwest Ireland too. Drier for others. Lows at 3 to 8C.

 
 
 


Wednesday
A cold and strong northwest flow through Wednesday. Showers will become heavier and frequent, most of these in northern and western Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland. A few bright or sunny spells here and there, most in the south of England. Showers could merge to more persistent periods of rain in northwest Scotland. The breeze making it feel colder for all too. Highs at 10 to 14C.


Thursday
Less showers for Thursday as a ridge of high pressure slowly builds from the west. The northwest wind bringing sunny spells and another chilly day. Showers around northern and western coasts and hills. Mostly dry away from these areas with further spells of sunshine as the winds ease. Highs at 10 to 16C.
