This will be fading and the cloud breaking with bright or sunny spells developing. Most other areas will be bright this morning and afternoon, staying dry. Increasing cloud in western Ireland bringing rain this afternoon, this reaching western Scotland by late afternoon. Becoming windy in western Scotland and western Ireland later as well with the risk of gales. Temperatures at 20C in the sunshine in southern and eastern areas, 15C in western Scotland and western Ireland.
A wet and windy night in Scotland and Ireland. Heavy rain in the west of Scotland, reaching northwest England during the early hours. Heavy showers follow into much of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Rain into Wales and northeast England by the morning whilst the south of England stays dry. Lows near 9 to 12C.
A warm front passes east through Scotland and northern England on Thursday. This brings cloud and a risk of some drizzle over western coasts and hills. Drier in southern and eastern parts of England with some bright spells. There could be mist and fog patches affecting western hills and coasts too. Highs at 13 to 17C.
Low pressure north of Scotland on Friday. A cold front will be moving south through the country taking cloud and periods of rain with it. Most of the rain over southern Ireland, Wales and northern England, tending to be more showery to the south. Heavy showers and brighter weather follows into Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as northern England later. A breezy day with colder weather following from the north. Highs at 19C in southeast England but more generally 12 to 16C.
