The light rain in the south will spread eastwards through the evening and affect central and southeastern areas of England through the first part of the night, before becoming confined to the far southeast then clearing through the early hours. Meanwhile elsewhere, expect clear spells and plenty of dry conditions but showers will continue to affect northern and western areas. Staying windy here. Rather chilly for many central areas with lows ranging from 6 to 9C. Warmer closer to the coasts.

Cloud and showery rain including brisk winds, near gale force across the Northern Isles, for Scotland as well as Northern Ireland, especially the north and west. Some showers in northwest England as well as the north and west of Wales. Drier for eastern and southern parts with sunny spells here. Highs at 15 to 19C.
A weak cold front passes south through the UK on Sunday, bringing outbreaks of rain to southern Scotland initially. Starting mainly dry with some sunny spells across much of England and Wales, before rain affects these areas as the day progresses. Once rain clears over southern Scotland it will be largely dry across Scotland as high pressure builds in although showers will affect the far north. Patchy, mostly light, rain in the west of Ireland and Northern Ireland initially will migrate further east through the day. Highs at 13C in northern Scotland, 20C in southern England.
