UK Forecast - October 20, 2023
Wet still Saturday
Better by Sunday

Saturday
The persistent strong to gale force easterly wind keeps a steady flow of rain pushing on to many eastern regions of Scotland. The front will track north into northern Scotland during the afternoon. Outbreaks of rain also across southern and southeast England. Otherwise, a largely dry day elsewhere with developing sunny spells. A colder air with highs at 9 to 14C.

Saturday Night
Overnight, rain gradually eases across north and east Scotland with outbreaks of rain affecting western areas here. Largely dry with clear spells elsewhere, though some showers on to western coasts and hills across the UK. Lows at 3 to 7C.

Sunday
A much improved day for most on Sunday, though still expect showery rain to affect northern Scotland as low pressure sits close by here. Some patchy light rain and drizzle in places further south and west too but many should see bright and or sunny skies with dry conditions. Cloud and patchy rain edging in across southwestern areas later. Highs at 10 to 15C.

Monday
High pressure continues to ridge in on Monday with most staying dry with sunny spells. Low pressure moving through the Channel is looking more likely to bring bursts of heavy rain to far southern areas of England including the Channel Islands. Patchy rain possible to south Wales too. Highs of 10 to 15C.
