Higher pressure to the east with low pressure to the west. A strong south to southwest wind with cloud and rain through Ireland and western Scotland. Drier in central and eastern Britain with brighter weather developing. It is likely to be fairly mild in these areas too. Highs at 8 to 13C.

Mild southwesterly winds continue into the night. Staying windy across northern and western areas. Lighter winds in the southeast. Rain affects western Scotland. Most places staying dry. Low cloud for many west and northern areas. Local fog patches possible in the southeast. Lowest temperatures 5 to 8C.
 


Sunday
High pressure lies to the south of Britain, whilst fronts pass across northern Britain. Cloud and rain in Scotland and Ireland accompanied by brisk southwesterly winds. Drizzle and rain into northwest England too. Drier in eastern and southern England with some sun, breezy. Low cloud around western coasts. Highs at 9 to 13C.

Weakening fronts passing east. Low pressure to the north of Scotland, higher pressure to the south. Some cloud and outbreaks of rain in northern England and Wales as well as southwest England. Drier in eastern and southern parts of England. Showers in northern and western Scotland, some of them heavy. Highs at 8 to 13.
