Cloud with rain to start Hampshire to Yorkshire through the morning, rain easing during the later morning with sunshine and showers following during the afternoon. A mix of sunshine and showers fringing Devon and Cornwall, coastal Wales, Lancashire and into Dumfries, showers becoming frequent by afternoon. Cloudy with a mix of sunshine and showers for western Isles across to Northern Isles and later to Tayside some being frequent and prolonged. A generally cold day with a high windchill, 0 to 2C fro most during the morning with patchy frost in central Scotland and northern England, briefly 4 to 5C through the afternoon with sunny spells, highest aways from coasts and lighter winds so favoured will be Cheshire to Oxfordshire. Winds fresh SE Kent to Yorskshire to Tayside, westerly for south Wales to Hampshire, generally northwesterly for western coasts of Scotland and into N.Ireland. Showers easing during the evening for most though continuing along coasts, mainly dry overnight with frost widespread across Scotland, patchy England and Wales 0 to -2C through Cheshire to Herefs. Cloudy Kent to Yorkshire with showers later.

Patchy frost central Scotland and borders into Lancashire and Northumberland, to Clwyd and Gwynedd, Shropshire to Herefs -2 to 0C at first during the morning. Elsewhere 1 to 2C to start. Cloudy with a mix of rain and snow across Kent to Cambridgeshire, later duringthe morning into Bucks and Northamptonshire, Lincs to Yorkshire, 1-3cm of snow with height 1 to 3C, this will clear from the south during the afternoon. For Wales and Scotland generally dry though scattered showers are likely with sunny spells,most of England cloudy with scattered mix of rain and snow likely Shropshire to Herefs, midlands to Lancs, 1 to 4C with an increasing NE wind.
