Outbreaks of rain

Monday
A deep area of low pressure is centred west of Ireland on Monday. This brings a fresh wind and heavy outbreaks of rain into Ireland and the southwest UK. A band of rain clears to the northeast of Scotland through the morning but heavy, sometimes thundery, showers develop over Scotland and northern England later. Staying dry to the far east of England for much of the day but rain arriving here through the evening. Showers follow into Ireland, some of them heavy. High temperatures widely at 16 to 19C: cooler over Northern Ireland and warmer over eastern England.


Monday Night
A mostly cloudy night with frequent, often heavy, showers affecting the UK and Ireland. A band of very heavy, more persistent rain moves into southwestern parts of Ireland and the UK through the early part of Tuesday morning. A windy night for southern areas. Overnight lows at 10 to 17C.
 


Tuesday
Further heavy rain passing northeastwards through the country with sunshine and showers following from the southwest as low pressure is centred to the west on Tuesday. Some very heavy bursts of rain affecting Wales and southern and central parts of England. Some of the rain will also be thundery with hail possible for some areas. Later, a mixture of showers, some heavy, and sunny spells spread across England and Wales. Strong winds in the west too. Highs at 15 to 19C.


Wednesday
Low pressure continues to bring strong winds, outbreaks of rain and showers. The showers could be heavy, especially to the south and west. Heavy rain affecting western Ireland later. Drier and brighter to the north and east. High temperatures at 15 to 19C.
